Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team based in Lisburn, in the role of Digitalisation Specialist. As a Digitalisation Specialist, you will be responsible for driving digital transformation efforts within SCS and implementing digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and overall business growth. Your primary role will involve the analysis of logistical processes and workflows within the company.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • End-to-End SaaS Design – you will lead the design of a scalable, user-friendly SaaS solution from concept to deployment, including architecture design and UX/UI considerations.
  • Expertise in Cloud Infrastructure: you will leverage cloud-native technologies to deliver a secure, reliable, and efficient SaaS application.
  • Agile Development and Delivery: you will employ iterative development cycles to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of the SaaS product.
  • You will be heavily involved in the specification of suitable business processes.
  • You will be required to report and solve components availability issues; troubleshooting when necessary.
  • You will need to prepare, analyse, and present key business metrics on certification status.

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme and will also have the opportunity to avail of a Post Graduate Diploma with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the employment offering.

Essential Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/Business Computing/Computer Science, Economics, or related field.
  • Must have access to and use of a car to attend collaborative project meetings.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Northern Ireland and to travel across the Island of Ireland (Both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland) as required. If you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Republic of Ireland/Northern Ireland, you must upload a copy of it with your application.

Desirable Criteria

  • Masters degree in IT/Business Computing/Computer Science, Economics, or related field.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in development and deployment strategies for SaaS applications.
  • Experience in utilising tools and scripts to automate the deployment of SaaS applications.
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques is a plus.
  • Experience of commercial business processes.
