This position is with Steel Lintels. The role forms part of an Innovation Boost project supported by InterTradeIreland. Salary support under the programme is provided for 18 months; however, the employment contract is with Steel Lintels and is not limited to the funding period.

Job Description
This is a key strategic role focused on leading the company’s expansion from a specialist lintel provider into a full-service structural steel provider. The Structural Design Engineer / Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and launch of a new range of structural steel products. Working across engineering, sales, and operations teams, the successful candidate will manage all aspects of product development, from initial planning and technical specification through to 3D design, structural analysis, fabrication, quality assurance, and market rollout.
A core part of the role will be delivering integrated, high-value solutions that meet the evolving needs of both new and existing customers. The Structural Design Engineer / Manager will play a central role in driving innovation, improving operational processes, and supporting the company’s ambition to become a full-service structural steel partner to the construction industry in Ireland and the UK.
This role is based onsite at the employer’s premises in Forkhill, Northern Ireland and requires daily attendance onsite. Relocation, accommodation and commuting arrangements are the responsibility of the successful candidate.
