This position is with Nutra Co Pack. The role forms part of an Innovation Boost project supported by InterTradeIreland. Salary support under the programme is provided for 12 months; however, the employment contract is with Nutra Co Pack and is not limited to the funding period.

Job Description
The selected applicant will join Nutra Co Pack as an Automation Engineer, taking a lead role in the design, implementation and optimisation of automated packaging line solutions across the company's production facility. They will be a role model for their team leading by example, and will:
- Inspire, lead and manage team members, workload and attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with all standards, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Educate, train, develop, coach and constructively correct team members to enable them to progress their skills and abilities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the development, commissioning, and support of automation control systems across various industries using cutting-edge technologies
- Working on a wide variety of projects in all industry sectors using the latest technology and software.
- Designing and delivery of high-quality automation solutions.
- Assessing existing technologies and processes to enhance performance.
- A hands on approach to electrics (electrical knowledge and skill is a must). You must be able to build a basic control panel from scratch.
- Provision of technical support to operations.
- Interaction with management to understand and meet technical requirements.
- Independent management of multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Documentation of projects and management of change control.
The successful candidate will lead this project and will work under the supervision of company management and in a supportive partnership with Ulster University’s School of Computing, Engineering and Intelligent Systems as part of InterTradeIreland’s Innovation Boost Programme.
