Operations Manager (Systems Integration), Sign Reload

Job Summary

This position is with Sign Reload. The role forms part of an Innovation Boost project supported by InterTradeIreland. Salary support under the programme is provided for 12 months; however, the employment contract is with Sign Reload and is not limited to the funding period.

Sign Reload Ltd is a leading provider of high-quality signage and branding solutions, serving a diverse client base across the retail, construction, and corporate sectors. Based in Co Tyrone, we pride ourselves on combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to deliver bespoke visual communications. As we enter a phase of digital transformation, we are looking for an ambitious graduate to lead a high-impact project that will integrate our production floor with our Management Information System (MIS), ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry.

Job Description

The Innovation Project Manager will be responsible for digitising and integrating Sign Reload’s production workflows. Working closely with the senior management team, the successful candidate will:

  • Audit and map current manual production and stock-control processes.
  • Lead the implementation and configuration of a Production Module
  • Develop real-time data collection protocols to track labour, machine time, and material usage.
  • Create automated reporting dashboards
  • Train staff on new digital workflows

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Technological University of the Shannon as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme.

Essential Criteria

  • Honours degree (Level 6 or above) in Industrial Engineering, Business Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Northern Ireland/UK and travel throughout the island of Ireland/EU if required; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Northern Ireland/UK you must upload a copy of it with your application. Failure to provide a relevant Visa/Work permit will result in your application not being considered.

Desirable Criteria

  • Demonstrable experience or academic project work involving data analysis and the integration of digital systems within a physical operational environment.
  • Strong proficiency in process mapping and the ability to translate manual workflows into digital requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both production staff and senior management to drive change.
  • Experience working with MIS or ERP systems (specifically "Clarity" or similar print-industry software).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or signage/print production environment.
  • Project management certification or evidence of managing a project from conception to implementation.
