Job Description

This newly created role will lead the enhancement of company-wide and remote processes and transformation of current operations by implementing a new remote mobile job management environment for installers.

This role will initially design, develop and implement this new digital environment across business functions, transitioning into future expansion of functionality in line with planned new business activities.

The primary responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Further map organisational processes to identify areas for efficiencies and improvements
  • Complete gap analysis of existing functions and establish areas for IT transformation to take into consideration data models for robust intelligent automation (including use of AI if appropriate)
  • Identify process and technological improvements, conduct a systems analysis and create a requirements specification
  • Build a suitable IT solution, including software tool identification, evaluation and deployment based on data modelling and AI capability (if appropriate).
  • Lead the IT solution implementation, configuration and integration including data migration (data cleansing, importing and optimisation) and staff training
  • Review system impact post roll-out and verify against initial expectation/objectives
  • Fine tune/continuous improvement. Identify innovations and further develop opportunities.

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Ulster University as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme.

Essential Criteria

  • Degree qualification in a Computer Science and/or Engineering related discipline (minimum 2.1 Honours)
  • One-year practical experience of system analysis and development, programming and/or data science
  • One-year practical experience of IT system implementation to include design and build.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Ireland/EU, and travel throughout the island of Ireland if required; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Ireland/EU, you must upload a copy of it with your application. Failure to provide a relevant Visa/Work permit will result in your application not being considered.

Desirable Criteria

  • Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related discipline
  • 2 years’ experience in a project management/co-ordinator role preferably within systems development
