Job Summary

This position is with Lynch Windows Ltd. The role forms part of an Innovation Boost project supported by InterTradeIreland. Salary support under the programme is provided for 12 months; however, the employment contract is with Lynch Windows Ltd and is not limited to the funding period.

Lynch Windows is a family-owned manufacturing business based in Buncrana, specialising in the manufacture, supply and installation of uPVC and aluminium window, door and glazing systems. The company operates across residential and commercial sectors throughout Ireland and the UK, delivering projects from initial quotation and design through to production and installation.

Operating from its own manufacturing facility, Lynch Windows manages fabrication, assembly and installation processes in-house, supported by office, production and fitting teams. The business works with homeowners, builders, contractors and commercial clients, and has delivered projects for organisations including Petrogas, Applegreen, Tesco, HSE, The Coca-Cola Company, Lidl and Aldi.

Lynch Windows has experienced continued growth in recent years and is now seeking to improve operational efficiency, visibility and scalability through the implementation of more structured digital systems and processes.

Job Description

Lynch Windows is seeking a motivated and technically capable individual to support the implementation of a new connected digital system across its operations. The role will focus on improving how the business manages quotations, job tracking, production, installation, labour tracking, documentation and reporting.

The successful candidate will work closely with management and staff to review existing workflows, structure operational data and support the transition from paper-based and disconnected processes to a more integrated digital environment. The role will also involve supporting system integration and data flow between operational and administrative systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse existing workflows across enquiries, quotations, production, installation and billing.
  • Define and structure operational data including customer, job, material and labour information.
  • Support the setup and configuration of workflow, job tracking and reporting systems.
  • Assist with integration between operational and administrative systems.
  • Support implementation of digital documentation and operational record systems.
  • Assist with labour tracking, costing visibility and operational reporting improvements.
  • Coordinate system testing, troubleshooting and phased deployment activities.
  • Work with management and staff to support adoption of new digital processes and systems.
  • Deliver training and support to staff during rollout and transition stages.
  • Monitor operational improvements in efficiency, visibility and coordination across the business.

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with North West Regional College (NWRC) as part of the InterTradeIreland’s Innovation Boost Programme.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 2:2 Honours Degree in ICT, Computing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Information Systems or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 1 year's relevant experience in process improvement, systems implementation or digital transformation within a manufacturing or operational environment.
  • At least 1 year's experience working with workflow systems, operational reporting, data management or business system configuration within a live operational environment.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Ireland/EU and travel throughout Ireland as required; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Ireland/EU you must upload a copy of it with your application. Failure to provide a relevant Visa/Work permit may result in your application not being considered.

Desirable Criteria

  • At least 1 year's experience supporting API integration, system interoperability or data exchange between business systems.
  • At least 1 year's experience working with labour tracking, materials management, job costing or resource planning processes.
  • At least 1 year's experience supporting the migration of paper-based or spreadsheet-based processes to digital systems within an SME environment.
  • At least 1 year's experience supporting stakeholder engagement, user training or organisational change associated with the implementation of new digital systems.
