Job Description
JPM Trailers is seeking a graduate design engineer to lead a 12-month project focused on professionalising our design capability and embedding modern digital engineering practices. This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in shaping the company’s design processes, ensuring they are scalable, efficient and aligned with international best practice. The successful candidate will work closely with JPM’s engineering team and academic experts at Dundalk Institute of Technology. As part of the role, the candidate will:
- Review and rationalise existing product designs to establish a consistent baseline across the portfolio.
- Develop and implement a structured design management process, including parametric modelling standards, version control, and bill of materials (BOM) generation.
- Re-model and standardise key components and assemblies to enable efficient customisation and configuration.
- Integrate design workflows with procurement and production systems to improve accuracy and reduce errors.
- Lead knowledge transfer by training engineering staff in the use of new design standards and processes.
