Job Description

JPM Trailers is seeking a graduate design engineer to lead a 12-month project focused on professionalising our design capability and embedding modern digital engineering practices. This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in shaping the company’s design processes, ensuring they are scalable, efficient and aligned with international best practice. • Review and rationalise existing product designs to establish a consistent baseline across the portfolio.
  • Develop and implement a structured design management process, including parametric modelling standards, version control, and bill of materials (BOM) generation.
  • Re-model and standardise key components and assemblies to enable efficient customisation and configuration.
  • Integrate design workflows with procurement and production systems to improve accuracy and reduce errors.
  • Lead knowledge transfer by training engineering staff in the use of new design standards and processes.

This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in applying advanced design methodologies to a real-world manufacturing environment, with a significant impact on the company’s efficiency and competitiveness.

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme.

Interviews will be held approximately week commencing: 01/12/2025
