Job Summary

This position is with Fabrite Facades Ltd. The role forms part of an Innovation Boost project supported by InterTradeIreland. Salary support under the programme is provided for 18 months; however, the employment contract is with Fabrite Facades and is not limited to the funding period.

Fabrite Facades are a bespoke metal fabrication company, manufacturing structural and architectural products for the construction industry. Product lines range from secondary structural metal work, to stairs, access ladders, balustrades, railings, mezzanine floors, balcony structures and architectural rainscreen systems.

Building on current success, Fabrite have identified an opportunity to develop some of their bespoke fabrications toward a continuous product line and seek a suitably qualified and progressive individual with the ability to work autonomously to realise the success of this vision.

Job Description

You will be responsible for product research and development of structural metalwork, with particular focus on the product development of a modular cantilevered balcony system to enable the company to grow and expand into further markets and meet customers' needs more effectively.

The role involves identifying methods to evolve from a bespoke fabrication approach to a production line manufacturing process. This can include examining supply lines, utilisation of materials, and flow of supply lines to minimise waste and maximise production efficiency.

You will work closely with the company and external partners to gain an understanding of material selections; cost of material vs benefits of selection; value engineering proposed designs and formulating a design that exhibits commercial benefits both in terms of the selection of raw materials and the shop floor construction of the balcony unit, through a focussed target on cost reduction and cost controls.

Targeting the supply lines of ‘buy-ins’ such as thermal isolators, aluminium extrusions and product finishing with a view to best value will be an essential activity in achieving the objectives of the project.

You will be responsible for the identification of current regulations and legislation impacting the product and for the development of sales and marketing material to promote the company and the product released.

The role may also involve travel to customer sites to engage with customers, demonstrate new products and enhance the brand image to help gain a competitive edge in the market.

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Technological University of the Shannon as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme.

Interviews will be held approximately week commencing: 22/06/2026
