Job Summary

Classic Mineral Water Company Limited is Ireland’s oldest water bottling company founded in 1948.

It operates from its three-acre production facility based in the centre of Lurgan, Co Armagh. Classic Mineral Water supplies water products to all the main retailers, discounters and food service companies in Ireland and the UK.

Job Description

This is a new and key role within the company to project manage and drive the delivery of significantly improved new product launch, data management and change management processes.

The role will be critical in setting the framework for more frequent product launches and the seamless integration of the new product launch capability within the business.

Key duties will include:

  • Engaging with operational staff to benchmark current processes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Developing and leading the implementation of improvements in data management, change management, new product development and product launch optimisation.
  • Developing and implementing processes that will enable digitalisation.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
  • Working cross-functionally to develop new training content for staff.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the performance of these initiatives.

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Atlantic Technological University (ATU) and will also have the opportunity to avail of a Post Graduate Diploma with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the employment offering.

Essential Criteria

  • Honours degree in Science, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant discipline [Minimum 2.2].
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Legally permitted to work in the UK and travel to Ireland.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Northern Ireland; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Northern Ireland you must upload a copy of it with your application.

Desirable Criteria

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Formal project management training.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in implementing business process improvements as lead or part of team.
  • Experience in a RD&I environment focussed on developing and launching new products.
  • Knowledge of operations management, including change management and risk management.
