Job Summary

Bia GanBreise Teo is a dedicated gluten-free baking facility based in Ballingeary, West Cork. Our mission is to create a range of gluten-free bakery products that enliven the world of the gluten-free culinary experience.

The company was formed in 2011 and has been serving the Irish market with gluten-free produce ever since. We have been a BRC Grade 'A' facility since 2014, and we want to bring our brands into the public market.

Job Description

The company is in an exciting period of growth and would like an NPD technologist to join the team and help develop exciting new products. We strive to bring quality to this relatively new and vibrant area of the food market and hope that by doing so, we can add a little more colour to the lives of those who have chosen the gluten-free diet.

This is an exciting opportunity for an NPD Technologist with a passion for bakery products to play a pivotal role within a progressive company.

The role will involve:

  • Leading the development of formal NPD processes and procedures within the company.
  • Working closely with a wider team in researching, developing, and launching new product ranges within retail and growing the food service side of the business.
  • Liaising closely with key customers (actual and potential) to ensure their needs are met and commercial opportunities are grasped.
  • Continually reviewing the company’s progress in the area of NPD to ensure continued impact on revenue growth.


The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Southern Regional College (SRC) as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme and will also have the opportunity to avail of a Post Graduate Diploma with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the employment offering.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 2:2 Food-related Degree
  • Minimum of 1 year industry experience in a food-related role. This could include an undergraduate placement.
  • Clean Driving Licence.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Ireland/EU; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Ireland/EU you must upload a copy of it with your application.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working in a Gluten free/allergen-free environment.
  • Working in an NPD Food Manufacturing role.
  • Enthusiasm and well-developed knowledge of food and ingredients.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Able to use own initiative.
