Job Summary

Foxford is a heritage textile manufacturer founded in 1892. Traditionally, its focus has been on designing and producing high-quality wool and cashmere throws, scarves, blankets, and bed linens. The company has expanded to also retail homewares, gifts, and fashion accessories, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. Both B2B and B2C channels are used to reach their customers.

Foxford currently employs 80 people and is renowned for its high level of customer service and high-quality items. Foxford makes significant annual investments in its people, processes, and plant to develop capabilities to support the growth ambitions of the company.

Job Description

This role is central to the company’s growth strategy for the next 5 years and will focus on ensuring that we have the right digital transformation information systems in place to support our planned expansion.

The Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and implementing an integrated end-to-end digital transformation information system and processes on time and on budget.
  • Improving workflow efficiency, implementing digitalisation, and developing best in class data analytics.
  • Preparation of all associated documentation
  • Training staff so that the new system is fully transferred and embedded in the company’s operations.
  • Working closely with the academic partner and will travel to the academic institute as required.
  • Any other relevant duties.

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Ulster University as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme.

Essential Criteria

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, Smart Manufacturing, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Textile Technology/Design, or related area.
  • Practical experience and/or certification of business improvement techniques.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Ireland/EU and travel throughout the island of Ireland if required; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Ireland/EU you must upload a copy of it with your application. Failure to provide a relevant Visa/Work permit will result in your application not being considered.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in Project and Change Management
  • Experience/qualification in data analytics, AI, Industry 4.0, and practical experience of developing and implementing visualisation tools.
  • Practical Experience with Systems design, training, and implementation
  • A proven track record of Digital Transformation and/or Enterprise Resource Planning and supply chain planning and scheduling systems.
  • Working knowledge of SAGE 50 Accounting systems
  • Experience of the textile manufacturing industry
