Job Description
The candidate will work closely with Applied Concepts to support the design and development of a new grit recovery system for industrial blasting applications, with guidance and technical support from the Industry 4.0 Centre at North West Regional College (NWRC). This is an in-person role based at Applied Concepts’ facility in Birr, Co Offaly.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing 3D CAD models and prototypes for new product components.
- Assisting in the design, testing, and validation of fabricated and pressure-rated parts.
- Supporting the introduction of automated welding and improved production processes.
- Documenting design iterations, process changes, and testing outcomes.
- Contributing to product scale-up, commercialisation, and ongoing process improvement.
- Working closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure project success.
The successful graduate will lead
this project, in a supportive partnership with North West Regional College as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme.
