Job Summary

Weatherglaze Systems Ltd (WSL) are a fully Irish owned Company with a long successful history of manufacturing and supplying uPVC windows, doors, smart slide, lift & Slide and Patio doors for over 45 years.

Established in 1989, the company continues to evolve and grow, with a current workforce of 92 employees. WSL has carved out a reputation in the industry as a leader in specialist uPVC windows and doors solutions provider through high levels of quality, customer service and innovation.

Whilst, WSL primarily provides services and products to trade, contractors, or end customers, directly throughout the building industry, recent growth in the modular and retrofit/renovation sectors of the industry has resulted in exciting growth opportunities for the business.

WSL’s customers are primarily in the Republic of Ireland, but with an increasing presence in Northern Ireland.

Job Description

This role is central to the company’s growth strategy for the next 5 years and will focus on ensuring that we have the right supply chain and scheduling systems in place to support our planned expansion.

The role will project manage aspects such as:

  • Gathering requirements from key stakeholders
  • Designing, developing, and implementing an integrated end-to-end supply chain planning and scheduling system application on time and budget.
  • Improving workflow efficiency, implementing digitalisation, and developing best-in-class data analytics.
  • Preparation of all associated documentation
  • Training staff (at all levels) so that the new system is fully transferred and embedded in the company’s operations.
  • To work closely with the academic partner and travel to the academic institute as required.
  • Any other relevant duties.

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Ulster University as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme and will also have the opportunity to avail of a Post Graduate Diploma with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the employment offering.

Essential Criteria

  • Degree in Business and Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mechanical/Process Engineering, or related area
  • Must be legally entitled to work in the Republic of Ireland/EU; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Republic of Ireland/EU you must upload a copy of it with your application.

Desirable Criteria

  • Understanding of MIS, such as Enterprise Resource Planning and supply chain planning and scheduling systems.
  • Experience in data analytics, AI, Industry 4.0, and practical experience of developing and implementing visualisation tools.
  • Experience and/or certification of business improvement techniques.
  • Postgraduate degree in computing, data analytics, MIS, or related cognate area.
  • Practical Experience with systems design, training and implementation.
  • Understanding of the manufacturing industry (especially, PVCu Windows, PVCu Doors, Sliding Sash Windows and Conservatories).
