At Walsh PVC we manufacture, supply and install a range of maintenance free gates, decking and fencing solutions nationwide. Utilising PVC and aluminium for its products we offer long lasting, no maintenance, and bespoke solutions for domestic customers.

Job Description

Walsh PVC is seeking an experienced Process Improvement Project Manager to introduce and lead innovative and transformative processes to enhance and possibly transform our operational, logistical and management processes & procedures throughout the business.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead and enhance the production, specification, implementation and management of existing manufacturing solutions, seek improvements and innovations to advance and maximise production.
  • Coordinate, manage and liaise with internal and external teams to manage and maximise the rollout of improved processes.
  • Work with existing, plus seek new suppliers, to maximise our product range and ensure best and efficient practice when fitting and manufacturing same.
  • Lead the optimisation and digitalisation of processes, ensuring seamless integration to improve operational efficiency and production performance.
  • Continue to ensure best health and safety practices are adhered to, staff are continually upskilling within their skill range, machinery and equipment is up to date and serviced regularly.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to all existing, plus new processes and procedures within the company.

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with North West Regional College (NWRC) as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme and will also have the opportunity to avail of a Post Graduate Diploma with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the employment offering.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 2:2 Degree in IT/Computing or Degree in other field with significant experience working in an IT environment.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Ireland/EU; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Ireland/EU you must upload a copy of it with your application.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience implementing ICT systems / Business information software systems.
  • Previous Project Management Experience / Process Mapping Experience (1 year +).
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
