Job Summary

Traditional Cheese Company has been supplying the main Irish retail multiples and catering sectors with Irish and Continental products for over 30 years.

We have developed expertise and a reputation for sourcing and selecting cheese from across Ireland and Europe and offer an extensive range of cheese products including a range of TCC Brand products. We are leading and developing the cheese category in Ireland.

We are continuously innovating and investing in the development of our offering, systems and production capabilities to win new market opportunities. As our business continues to grow, we are implementing an expansion strategy. We have extended our production capabilities (to include automated cutting and packaging lines) to our distribution premises in West Dublin, are this project aims to develop our operational and industry 4.0 capabilities through an integrated MIS and digitisation strategy.

To maximise these initiatives, we are now adding a new role to our team. The Business Analyst/Business Improvement Project Manager, will report to the Systems Director.

Job Description

This role is central to the company’s growth strategy for the next 5 years and will focus on ensuring that an integrated management information system, decision support system and company culture is in place to support the company’s extensive and exciting planned expansion.

The role will project manage aspects such as:

  • To design, develop and implement an integrated end to end smart decision support system to improve workflow efficiency, embed digitalisation capabilities throughout the firm and develop best in class processes and KPIs.
  • To train staff so that the new technology is fully transferred and embedded in the company.
  • Any other duties which might fall within the general ambit of the post.

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Ulster University (UU) and will also have the opportunity to avail of a Post Graduate Diploma with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the employment offering.

Essential Criteria

  • Honour’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, Management Information Systems, engineering information systems or related area
  • Must be legally entitled to work in the Republic of Ireland; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Republic of Ireland you must upload a copy of it with your application.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in data analytics, Industry 4.0, and practical experience of developing and implementing visualisation tools.
  • Practical experience of extracting data from engineering machines.
  • Experience of 3D/Automation tools.
  • Experience and/or certification of business improvement techniques.
  • Practical experience with digital capability development, systems design and implementation.
  • Postgraduate degree in Computing, data analytics, MIS, or related cognate area.
  • Understanding of MIS, such as Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
  • Experience of engagement and cultural change in a food manufacturing context.
