Job Summary

Tarco Pressings is a supplier of bespoke formed products to the roofing and cladding sector. They specialise in cutting, shaping and painting aluminium sheeting for flashings, sills, guttering and small frame cladding. Tarco are a growing company, investing heavily in CNC machinery and sheet metal excellence.

Job Description

This is a new role within the company to project manage the development of 3D digital processing capabilities within the company for the purpose of designing and manufacturing new modular flashing kits.

The successful candidate will lead the transformation of the company’s design and manufacturing processes using the latest digital technologies. The transformation will facilitate the development of the new product to support the sustained growth of the business.

The role will involve:

  • Sourcing and set up a 3D digital system (CAD/CAM)
  • Develop customer drawings using RADAN CAD CAM software
  • Creating digital workflows for product manufacture
  • Implementing new digital design procedures to facilitate streamlined communication between design packages and CNC machines
  • Designing for manufacture the new products – flashing kits for modular houses
  • Training, roll-out and monitoring of the new design processes
  • Leading the implementation of good manufacturing practice.
  • Communicate with customers about any issues related to drawings and offer solutions
  • Assist in the pricing of work
  • Supporting the launch of the new products
  • Refining the designs as necessary based on market engagement
  • Take a lead role in running of team from receiving orders, pricing, developing, production, quality and on-time delivery of product
  • Other works as deemed necessary by senior staff

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Southern Regional College and will also have the opportunity to avail of a Post Graduate Diploma with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the employment offering.

Essential Criteria

  • Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • Must be legally entitled to work in the Republic of Ireland; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Republic of Ireland you must upload a copy of it with your application.

Desirable Criteria

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in similar role
  • Proficient in use of Sheet metal software,
  • Experience of CAD/CAM transfer
  • Experience of CNC machines
  • Knowledge of MRP
