Job Summary
Noone poultry is a family-owned business in Clonmany, Co. Donegal. We process chicken and Turkey from rearing, slaughter and through to butchery into prepacked portions and whole birds. The prepacked portions include wings, breasts and legs. We are Bord Bia-approved and supply products to food service and local retailers, butchers and Dunnes under their own brand.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be at the centre of the company’s New Product Development work, bringing new products from concept to launch. You will work closely with the company customers and partners throughout the project, with duties including:
- Leading the quality and development of new and existing product development for core and added value lines.
- Understanding and applying all relevant food safety regulations and laws to the project such as HACCP.
- Sourcing, reviewing and assessing new ingredients, packaging and products.
- Managing recipe, ingredient and process changes and recording all relevant information.
- Planning and leading factory trials for products to achieve all briefed objectives on time.
- Ensuring all paperwork relevant to the project is recorded and kept up to date.
- Organising customer visits and audits on behalf of the company.
- Organising and leading monthly technical meetings with the core project team (Company and Academic Supervisor).
- Oversee and enforce the general safety and quality procedures of the company according to HACCP and Bord Bia.
- Oversee and manage sustainability projects within the company to work towards sustainability accreditation.
- Report formally on a quarterly basis on project progress.
The successful graduate will lead
this project, in a supportive partnership with North West Regional College as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme and will also have the opportunity to avail of a Post Graduate Diploma with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the employment offering.
