Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineer with a passion for cloud computing and microservices development to join our innovative technology team. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced developers and engineers to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI-based microservices in cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Microservices Development
- Design, implement, and maintain AI-based microservices using modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, Spring Boot).
- Develop APIs to enable seamless integration between services.
- Ensure code quality through testing and code reviews.
Cloud Deployment
- Deploy, monitor, and optimize microservices in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Utilise containerisation and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes to manage services.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployment.
Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, QA, and product management, to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in development, staging, and production environments.
Performance and Scalability
- Optimise microservices for scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Monitor services using cloud monitoring tools and resolve bottlenecks.
Continuous Learning
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends in microservices architecture and cloud computing.
- Participate in team discussions and knowledge-sharing activities.
The successful graduate will lead
this project, in a supportive partnership with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme.
