Job Summary

Kildare Brewing Company operates out of the Lock 13 Brew Pub by the canal in Sallins and out of a new purpose-built brewery facility at Ladytown County Kildare. As well as a range of beers, the company produces a successful Kombucha product - ProKulture Organic Kombucha. The company wishes to develop a range of functional health drinks which could be produced at the brewery.

Job Description

You will be the driving force behind the company’s development of new products in the functional drinks segment. You will:

  • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle for 3 new functional health drink products.
  • Working closely with a wider team in researching, developing and launching new product ranges.
  • Define the product roadmap and prioritize features based on customer needs, market demands, and business objectives.
  • Continually review the company’s progress in the area of NPD to ensure continued impact on revenue growth.
  • Develop and manage budgets related to product development and innovation initiatives.
  • Liasing closely with key customers (current and potential) to ensure their needs are met and commercial opportunities grasped.


The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Southern Regional College (SRC) and will also have the opportunity to avail of a Post Graduate Diploma with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the employment offering.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 2:2 degree in a compatible discipline.
  • Must have experience in food related industry.
  • Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in project management, with a focus on innovation.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland you must upload a copy of it with your application.

Desirable Criteria

  • MBA or Masters degree.
  • Project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Leadership and team management.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Previous experience in beverage industry is preferred but not necessary.
