Job Summary

Based in Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim, Gas & Controls supply and install gas detection systems to suit each customer’s needs. This ensures that customers’ gas detection systems are fully compatible with the necessary gases and the applications associated with the customer’s business.

With over thirty years’ experience, G&C provide both fixed and portable equipment in order to meet any number of applications and health & safety requirements.

The company also offers ongoing maintenance and calibration of both fixed and portable gas detection systems and offers a bespoke service contract to meet customer requirements.

Job Description

Gas & Controls seek a motivated business systems project manager to lead the digital transformation of the business. This role will initially focus on leading the planning, coordination, and implementation of the business’ strategic digital transformation project, with on-going continued enhancement and expansion in line with future business needs.

Key elements of this role include:

  • Lead the introduction of new digital platform
  • Review and update supporting business procedures
  • Lead the roll out of new platform and procedures including training of all staff
  • Maintain and evolve the new digital platform to provide strategic business information
  • Work closely with customer with business development staff to support business development activities
  • Drive strategic growth initiatives, expand market presence, and establish valuable partnerships to enhance the company's long-term success

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Atlantic Technology University (ATU) Sligo and will also have the opportunity to avail of a Post Graduate Diploma with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the employment offering.


  • Company pension after probationary period (currently 6 months).

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of Level 8 Hons Degree in Business and ICT or related equivalent
  • Work experience of 2+ Years
  • If necessary, you must have a valid work permit/visa in place allowing you to work legally in Northern Ireland

Desirable Criteria

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of digital technologies, trends, and best practices.
  • Demonstrable ability to develop and execute comprehensive project plans, manage project budgets, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the gas monitoring and control marketplace would be a distinct advantage.
