Job Summary

Colloide is a highly skilled process engineering company, with specialist skills in water treatment, energy, environmental and facilities engineering solutions.

Our services range from design through to construction, installation, commissioning, maintenance and overall project management. Job Description

This is a new position within the business and is focused on developing ‘net zero’ technology for the water treatment industry. The product will have significant potential for scale and positive climate impact. Over the duration of the project you will get to experience developing a product right from first principles, lab development/verification, through to prototype design, build and testing. An exciting and rewarding journey and one supported by highly skilled and experience academic and industrial support.

You will be exposed to all aspects of the business, as your project progresses through the different stages of product design, pricing, prototype development and testing. As part of this project you will have the opportunity to travel, speak directly to the end user and test the product you have developed in a real world application. This is a fantastic role that will help accelerate your progress towards becoming a well-rounded, highly skilled engineering professional

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with University College Dublin (UCD) and will also have the opportunity to avail of a Post Graduate Diploma with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the employment offering.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a related product design or engineering subject.
  • Access to transport.
  • Experience in 3D CAD software, inclusive of university or other experience.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Northern Ireland and travel throughout UK and island Ireland at time of application; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Northern Ireland you must upload a copy of it with your application.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of Solidworks.
  • Experience working in fabrication environments.
  • Previous experience in product development
  • Knowledge of in water & wastewater and process engineering, preferably at least 1 year’s relevant experience.
