Job Description

This exceptional opportunity entails leading the advancement of an innovative digital design framework. Delving into digital manufacturing, encompassing 3D CAD, Revit, BIM, this role centres on hands-on engineering tasks, R&D, design, and rigorous testing. Collaborating closely with Boyle’s Project teams, M&E Subcontractors and clientele, the role fosters significant connections and offers exposure to senior management, enriching commercial insight. Boyle Construction require a candidate capable of integrating/editing 3D models, fostering collaborative efforts among stakeholders and ensuring efficient interdisciplinary coordination. This not only prevents costly errors but also underscores our dedication to delivering high-quality solutions and ensuring project success.​The right candidate will have experience in terms of leadership in construction, financial acumen and strategic thinking, aligned with excellent technology skills.

Key responsibilities encompass:

  • Evaluating existing strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities within digital manufacturing.
  • Take full responsibility for the BIM Modelling process on all projects.
  • Establish quality control procedures to check all models are accurate and the level of model definition is appropriate for each project stage.
  • Formulating inventive strategies to elevate digital processes.
  • Assessing and integrating state-of-the-art technologies such as Autodesk Revit & Navisworks Manage and aligning these with project goals.
  • Carry out model generation from time-to-time as necessary to facilitate the development of the design and coordination on projects
  • Draft, implement, and manage individual Project BEPs (BIM Execution Plans) for the duration of the Coordination process.
  • Receive, federate, and run BIM Model clash detection of all consultant &/or sub-contractor models.
  • Issue BIM model clash detection reports to all parties within the Project BIM workflow outlining all clashes detected and chairing meetings to agreed solutions acceptable to all disciplines
  • Taking charge of staff training initiatives, nurturing the cultural adoption of innovative digital methodologies to optimise operations. CPD is vital in this area, as is the ability to grow a strong professional network.


The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with North West Regional College (NWRC) and will also have the opportunity to avail of a Post Graduate Diploma with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the employment offering.

Essential Criteria

  • Degree minimum 2:2 in Construction, Structural, Building Services or Built Environment.
  • Two years’ experience in at least one of the following disciplines: architectural technology, civil engineering, building services engineering, quantity surveying or construction management.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in the Republic of Ireland; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Republic of Ireland you must upload a copy of it with your application.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with 3D Scanning/Lidar technologies.
  • 5 Years’ experience in one of the following disciplines: architectural technology, civil engineering, building services engineering, quantity surveying or construction management.
  • Proven experience in a technical and/or engineering space with a comprehensive understanding of project information management principles and application.
  • Two years’ experience working in a similar role for a Main Contractor
  • Experience with BIM 360 or similar BIM hosting platforms
  • Knowledge & understanding of BIM Procedures & Protocols
  • Excellent knowledge of packages such as Autodesk Revit, CAD, SketchUp and Navisworks Manage and have experience of packages such as Bluebeam/Foxit as well as complete familiarity with standard office packages.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
